MBZUAI showcased assistive AI technologies at GITEX 2025
From October 13–17 at the Dubai World Trade Center, MBZUAI researchers showcased cutting-edge assistive AI technologies designed to improve everyday life for people. Among the highlights, Prof. Hisham Cholakkal and his team demonstrated smart glasses that identify objects and verify medication, and a brain–computer interface that uses brain signals to control a robotic dog — examples of how AI, robotics, and neuroscience are coming together to restore independence for people with visual and mobility impairments through innovation.
